Myofunctional Therapy
Myofunctional therapy is an exercise-based therapy that focuses on how the muscles of the mouth, face, and tongue work together. These muscle patterns play a critical role in breathing, sleep, chewing, swallowing, and oral development.
When patterns such as mouth breathing, low tongue posture, or clenching are present, the body often compensates in ways that can contribute to a wide range of functional concerns. Through individualized, gentle exercises, myofunctional therapy helps retrain these muscles to support healthier breathing, improved sleep, and long-term oral function.
Therapy is tailored to each individual and designed to be practical and sustainable. With consistency and repetition, the nervous system can learn more supportive patterns that better align with how the body is meant to function.
Early intervention in childhood can help guide healthy development and address functional patterns before they become more complex later in life. Myofunctional therapy can also be beneficial for teens and adults who are experiencing ongoing concerns related to breathing, sleep, or oral function.

Myofunctional Evaluation
Personalized starting point
The myofunctional evaluation is the starting point for understanding how breathing, oral function, and muscle patterns may be impacting daily life.
During this session, I review health history, observe functional patterns, and talk through concerns and goals. The evaluation helps determine whether myofunctional therapy may be supportive and what next steps, if any, are appropriate.
Evaluations are designed to answer questions — not create obligation.
Customized Myofunctional Therapy Program
Individual support for children and adults
Based on your evaluation, I may recommend a customized myofunctional therapy program designed around your specific needs. Each plan is individualized and may support breathing, sleep quality, CPAP comfort and compliance, and functional stability during or after orthodontic treatment.
I take a collaborative, goal-focused approach and focus on building long-term function rather than quick fixes. Therapy is designed to be realistic, supportive, and adaptable to everyday life.
Mini Myo Program (Ages 3-5)
Early support for healthy development
Mini Myo is a gentle, age-appropriate program designed for children ages 3-5 to support healthy breathing, oral posture, and functional habits during critical years of growth.
This program focuses on early patterns such as mouth breathing, oral habits and low muscle tone, with the goal of supporting airway health, facial development, and long-term stability.
Early intervention can help guide development, support future orthodontic treatment, and reduce the need for more intensive intervention later.
Sessions are playful, supportive, and designed to empower both children and parents.
